Look Close at my pictures..... there are small white RV specs along the cliff edge.... yep that is us! Amazing cliff side camping high above the San Juan River. Not for those who dislike heights or with small children or animals that might go too close to the edge. Can be windy.... but that view is worth it! $10 per night dispersed camping in 2016.
The entrance fee is 5$ and I believe they don't accept cards so bring cash. You can camp here too. The only facilities available here are bathrooms.
This place is an hour and a half drive from monument valley, but totally worth the drive. The only place I believe which shows 2 horse shoe bends so close to each other. The view is breathe taking. You can drive on the gravel roads around the bends to get views from different angles.
It is just 20 minutes from Mexican Hat, but so worth it. T-Mobil Signal was good. There is also a bathroom. The pictures speak for themselves. You can see Monument Valley in the distance
Great place with incredible views, there was only a few other people there. Make sure you take a drive or walk past the parking lot along the rim and get different perspectives. Not far away is the road that leads to Mexican Hat rock which was pretty cool too.
The road to get here is not recommended for RVs
Not much of a campground but amazing views. We drove a little further out and camped on the cliff edge. The road is a little rocky but fine in an RV if you go slow.
